BIOGRAPHY

Albert Watson is one of the world's most renowned fine art, celebrity and fashion photographers.
Watson's photographs of celebrities, actors, artists and stars from the music scene such as Sade, Mick Jagger, Alfred Hitchcock, Clint Eastwood and Jack Nicholson are now considered icons of photography, which are characterized by a sophisticated composition and unusual lighting. The photographer, who was born in Scotland and lives in New York, has been one of the greats in his field for decades. He created hundreds of covers for the magazines »Rolling Stone« and »Vogue« alone.
In addition to participating in several exhibitions in the world's important galleries and museums (e.g. the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York and the National Portrait Gallery in London), Watson's work has also been shown in several solo exhibitions in Europe since 2004. He has also published six books over the course of his career, including the award-winning debut Cyclops (1994), Maroc (1998) and more recently UFO (2010) and Strip Search (2010).
